A unique tour at the Acropolis Museum in the heart of Athens. The museum was inaugurated in June 2009, it is located in Dionysios Areopagitou street, in a modern building designed by internationally renowned architect Bernard Tsoumi, overlooking the Acropolis. There the visitor can admire the 4,000 great findings of the Acropolis. The museum is built over extensive archaeological site (Roman and early Byzantine Greece). Therefore some parts of the floor are made of glass to allow visitors observe the excavation below. In the Museum there is a collection of archaic sculptures, including daughters (Caryatids), as well as exhibits from the Erechtheion and Temple of Athena Nike. On the top floor the Parthenon Gallery (dedicated to the Parthenon sculptures, original and copies of those located abroad) and the restaurant with its panoramic view will take your breath away.
